Delving into our archives, we revisit the residential projects that marked our initial foray into the world of interior design. Luxurious homes, charming condominiums, and breathtaking vacation properties became Dwayne’s canvas, and he reveled in the art of crafting personalized spaces that truly reflect the essence of each client. Reminiscing on this Gulf Coast remodel back in 2014, Dwayne transformed an impersonal Mediterranean villa into a whimsical celebration of mid-century design that rang true for the couple in residence. With green glass countertops in the kitchen, hand-painted powder room doors, and heirloom sofas from the ‘70s, Dwayne created a space where the inhabitants could start living a life more true to them.
Always a believer in giving back to your community, in 2020, Dwayne dedicated his time and creativity to aiding in the renovation of the Ronald McDonald House in Southwest Florida. Tasked with revamping a guest bedroom, Dwayne used color therapy to conjure calm and provide a “home away from home” for the families of loved ones in the hospital. Proven to positively affect one’s mood, Dwayne chose a soothing mix of earthy tones, warmed with elongating floor-to-ceiling natural wood canopy features. This project was a powerful and humbling experience for Dwayne and the team, serving as a testament to the true power of design.
Putting Southwest Florida on the map, Dwayne made his international debut in Milan in 2022, with his capsule collection of contemporary stone furnishings. Working alongside Kreoo’s master artisans, Dwayne explored sustainability and eco-friendly design practices with candleholders, napkin rings, and pendant fixtures created from the fragments of recycled marble slabs. Awarded ‘Best of Salone’, this collaboration proved to push the boundaries of design, expanding the firm’s reach, and making a lasting impact in the design capitals of the world.
